Not real fast, but great mileage and good looks. The Eagle Talon is a nice combination. Now, at 43,000 miles, it's still a nice combination. The first year I owned it all the neighbor kids wanted to hang around it.
The car has never needed any serious repair; the engine is still running on the original spark plugs. However, the plastic handles scattered throughout the interior are very cheap and break easily and often.
The Talon is a two-seater. There's a bench seat in the back, but it's there lower your insurance premium, not to actually seat anyone.
There's not a whole lot of headroom in the Talon. If you're over 6'2, don't even try. On the plus side, if you're the army/leggy type, the Talon has a ton of room there. The front seats slide all of the way back to the fake rear seat cushions.
Over the last three years, I've used the car as my daily commuter, driving 22 miles into Dallas Texas, dodging potholes and SUVs on a daily basis. The Talon is a fine car. |
